Three Americans and two Ghanaians founded IceCool in 1999, primarily to produce Purified Ice Cubes for the general public and the fishing industry of Ghana. IceCool introduced its Purified Water at the Millennium Festival at Independence Square in January 2000.

Initially, we packaged and served our Purified Water in 450-ML sachets and 1.5-L bottles, but today, we also provide limited 500-ML bottles and 5-gallon (18.9L) packages.

IceCool is on a mission. Our goal is to increase the awareness of the usefulness of Purified Ice Cubes, to preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables and to chill beverages in areas where electricity is not available or practical.

Considering less than 10% of Ghana's population use Purified Ice Cubes, we hope to educate the masses as to the difference between our ice cubes, which are edible/potable, and the other fares that are unfiltered ice blocks from the fishing harbours.

We also use the Purified Ice Cubes for chilling Beverages for all occasions. We are capable of chilling between 30 to 1000 crates at any event using our Purified Ice Cubes. Most Beverages are chilled in 10 to 15 minutes, and are ice cold in 30 minutes.
